What is Big Day of Giving?

For twelve years, generous people in the Sacramento region have helped hundreds of local nonprofits raise $104 million through Big Day of Giving. Community support has fueled the missions of these organizations and strengthened the nonprofit sector, fostering greater collaboration and collective impact across the region. 

All donations made to Placer Artists Tour between April 17 and May 1 will be matched by an anonymous donor up to $10,000!

Early giving opens on Thursday, April 17, and the real fun starts during Big Day of Giving on Thursday, May 1, 2025. 

How do I donate?

You may donate online, or by check. Please note that if you wish to pay by check, it must be received by May 1 to be eligible for the match.  Please mail early or bring to our office at 1 California St., Suite E, Auburn 95603.

Please Join Us on May 1

Please join us from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, May 1 at the Art Park and Central Square in Auburn for a Big Day of Giving Event “A Celebration of the Arts Live!” presented by Placer Artists Tour, Auburn Symphony, the State Theatre Acting Company and Branches at the Carnegie.

There will be a full schedule of entertainment including:

  • Live Music 4 – 5:45 pm
  • Interactive percussion instruments provided by the Auburn Symphony 
  • Live Radio Theatre 6 – 7 pm
  • Minute Portraits by Kellyn Planteen
  • Fortune Telling by Artima Fortuna
  • Hands-on Rock Painting 
  • Old Town Pizza by the Slice
  • Free snow cones, popcorn and more!

Artist, Gallery and School tour fees only provide about 25% of the annual funding needed for a successful tour. Every little bit helps!
