Jeffrey Bordelon

Jeffrey Bordelon has been engaged with photography since childhood, starting with a 35mm camera and a contact printer. His father, an industrial designer trained at the Illinois Institute of Design after Bauhaus relocated in 1949, introduced him early to world-class design and art. Drawn to nature—the ocean, desert, and forest—Jeff sees photography as a way of practicing presence and perception. Though he admires classic landscape photography, he focuses on more intimate “smallscapes.” Over the past 5–7 years, he has become more active in photography, which is available online at https://photo.bordelonstudios.com, and has also begun sharing his music through digital platforms. For him, both art forms serve as a way to bear witness to life’s gifts and encourage others to reveal themselves. We all have the capacity to be true to ourselves and stand revealed unashamed.
