Eric Chun Creative Music Services/Media
My journey in 2025 is an encyclopedia of over 66 years in the music, film, TV, and education field. Born and raised in Auburn, I lived on the Dewitt Hospital grounds with my parents, Dr. Stanley and Ruth Chun. My story began when I was 4, starting on piccolo, piano, then flute and percussion added in the 3rd grade. I started improvisation at 10, and was also a young theatre actor. My career started at 14, with Auburns Baja Slobovian Brass, and continued with my BA and teaching credentials in LA at Cal Lutheran University. I stayed 2o years working in all aspects of TV, film, touring, education, music, and recreation. In 1990 i returned to my hometown, after accepting the position to found Sac Valleys first commercial music degree at American River College. I founded the AES college and professional chapters, and was a board member for SF Recording Academy Grammys, West Coast Songwriters, and California lawyers for the Arts BOD. I built a high end LA style producers studio in Auburn to serve my community and continue to bring LA artists and business to Auburn. Music recordings for the industry and community are created here as well as the addition of red carpet “Hollywood” style interviews for events, non profits, and business here. This year I will be hosting the Foothill interactive Gong Trail, historical studio mics, Steinway piano, and drums/percussion, as well as interviewing artists and attendees. I look forward to sharing historical music instruments, recording, music education, and community goodwill for this years Placer Artists Tour.
