For as long as I can remember, nature — and the ocean in particular — has filled me with an incredible sense of awe. The endless shades of blue in the water, the brilliant colors that dance across the sky, and the constant rhythm of the waves both inspire and soothe my soul. Through my work, I strive to share not only the beauty of these natural wonders but also the deep feeling of wonder they evoke.
I work primarily with fluid mediums to capture the organic movement found in nature. Using materials like epoxy resin and fluid acrylics, I layer colors of varying densities, allowing heat and natural flow to create dynamic, one-of-a-kind pieces. I also incorporate palette knives and specialized activators to introduce delicate, intricate details, echoing the graceful motion of water and air.
Over the years, I have explored many different mediums and color palettes, but I always find myself drawn back to the calming blues of the ocean and the warm pinks and golds of sunset skies. These colors are deeply personal to me, calling back to my childhood days spent on the beaches of Western Australia and the breathtaking sunsets of my Northern California home.
Creating with fluid mediums allows me to celebrate the natural world that surrounds and inspires us all. In addition to wall art, I design functional pieces like charcuterie boards and small tables that bring a touch of nature’s beauty into everyday life.
