About

I use 20 gauge Hex Mesh Wire to create my Artwork. I mold and stretch the wire mesh by hand. Each piece takes on character as they evolve through the creative process. Animals with feathers, fins and fur, or mane can appear to flow and give a sense of enchantment or action. I add wood bases, crystals, beads and screen material to give definition and details to many of my pieces. I enjoy the challenges of the wire and continue to find ways of adding fun and functionality to my work. I often refer to my work as “Topiary style sculptures“ due to the open and airy nature of the hex wire mesh. The specialty wire I use holds it shape without requiring additional framework. In addition,
I enjoy gardening and was inspired originally by landscape Topiary, shaped bushes and trellises for foliage or flowering vines. I also make unique baskets in some of my Art pieces for displaying plants or floral arrangements, for both indoor and outdoor settings. The birds, bugs, and fish are some of my small pieces that are fun. I love making horses and larger pieces. Garden ladies, fairies, and angels are also some of my favorite subjects to sculpt. All of my sculptures are made with weather resistant materials and can last many years in the direct elements. I am currently showing my work at:
High-Hand Gallery in Loomis, Ca.
Auburn Old Town Gallery in Auburn, Ca.
