Judith Monroe

I look at the world with a photographer’s eye, capturing and creating images of the natural world and layering those images with the ephemera of memories. My work embodies a sense of wonder and curiosity, exploring the natural world. I layer photo transfers with text, maps and other visual and actual textures, incorporating acrylics, color pencils, wax pastels, and even real dried pressed leaves and flowers, to bring a real sense of nature into indoor settings.
