Jay Stargaard, Divine Flame Alchemist, sculptures and paintings is art that alchemizes growth and transcendence. It is a source of inspiration and unity, evoking emotions and feelings that raise the awareness of ourselves, to wake up. Each sculpture and mixed media painting is infused with inspiration, love, reflection, and possibility. The circular portals that come so naturally to the creations are an entry point to explore the purity of our truth. They invite us to bring light to all parts of ourselves, including our shadow. The space in these portals are an access point, an invitation, to go through and transcend what ever it that seemingly blocks us with ease grace and flow.
In my sculptures, rigid metals bend and curve into seemingly light and elegant lines, allowing masculine and feminine elements to move into energetic coherence and harmony. Metaphorically, the black in my paintings breaks apart when exposed to light, allowing the darkest parts of ourselves to transcend revealing the strength of who we are.
My burning desire to use art and my creative process to gain clarity, become aware, and reveal the truth about what life has to offer. With every completed piece, I discover another part of myself that brings me to a place where I can recognize the truth of being and what it feels like to be happy, whole, and at peace.
I am deeply grateful for the infusion of art in my life, for both its beauty and its path of growth. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to stimulate self-discovery through art-making and to help others in their own journey of self-exploration. Through my art, I hope to inspire and unify by evoking emotions and feelings that transcend the awareness of ourselves and promote a more positive and connected world.
