A Spin on Art
Call for Artists — Apply Now for the Outside the Box: Reimagined Art Dinner & Auction Event!
We invite artists to participate in a creative, music-inspired edition of Outside the Box: Reimagined. Up to 75 artists will be selected to transform and up-cycle vinyl records and their paper jackets into original works of art. This year’s theme celebrates the intersection of music, creativity, and community, encouraging artists to “step outside the box” and reimagine materials in innovative ways.
The event includes an online preview, as well as silent and live auctions held at the Blue Goose Event Center in Loomis. This is a special opportunity to showcase your work to collectors, community members, and arts supporters while helping highlight the positive economic and cultural impact of the arts in Placer County.

• Dinner & Live Auction Event: Thursday, April 9, 2026 • 6:00–9:00 pm
• Location: Blue Goose Event Center, 3550 Taylor Rd, Loomis, CA 95650
• Application Deadline: Thursday, January 15, 2026 (images not required at time of application)
• Application & Material Fee: $25, due upon submission
• Artist Launch Party & Material Pick-Up: Thursday, January 22, 2026 • 5:30–7:00 pm at Branches at the Carnegie in Auburn.

To participate, artists must submit an application no later than Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Your application should include:
• Confirmation that you have read and agree to the full prospectus
• Confirmation that you can meet all listed deadlines
Selected artists will be notified by January 19, 2026, and must pick up their vinyl materials at the Artist Launch Party on January 22, 2026.
Eligibility:
Artists of all disciplines and experience levels are encouraged to apply, including painters, sculptors, mixed-media artists, photographers, textile artists, digital artists, and more. The only requirement is a willingness to creatively transform the provided vinyl materials into an original artwork.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain visibility among collectors, art lovers, and industry professionals, while contributing to a dynamic community event.

Thank you to the 66 creative and resourceful artists who submitted the following artworks for this Flagship Fundraiser event. This was a fun and creative way to promote the importance of sustainability and at the same time, promote the positive economic impact of the arts in our community. In a blind jury process, Juror William Ishmael selected 20 of the entries to be auctioned off LIVE on May 14. 44 of the pieces were auction in an online Silent Auction.
