About

My goal is to find man made and natural creations, see them intimately, paint them honestly and hope the resulting creations will touch people’s hearts. I love animals, old buildings and gnarly trees that are powerful reminders of love and loss. I am drawn to bends in the road, literally and figuratively, where you can’t see where the next turn will take you. I have been painting in oils since 2012 when I took my first plein air workshop in Provence, France. I enjoy painting at the beach and setting up still lifes in my garage studio. I was fortunate to have been affiliated with the Main Street Arts gallery in Martinez from 2019-2023 as one of their featured artists. I have also shown my paintings in various East Bay locations, including the Delta Gallery, Orinda Library, Roxx on Main, the Campbell Theater, and the Piedmont Center for the Arts. I now live in Placer County where I am finding new inspirations. As a member of the Art League of Lincoln, I am happy to be a participant in their gift gallery and Spotlight Gallery shows. I have also shown my work at Sacramento Fine Arts, The Blue Line Gallery, Placer Artist Studio Tour, the Crocker Museum’s Big Artist/Little Art, and the Pence Gallery in Davis. I was recently awarded Best in Show at the Lincoln Hills Fine Arts Show, Honorable Mention at the Rocklin Fine Arts Juried Show, and 1st place at the Sacramento Fine Arts “Animal House” exhibit.
