My work explores the intricate patterns of the natural world—especially branches, leaves, roots, rocks, and water. The more time I spend really looking, the more I find transcendent beauty in these organic forms.
I often begin with photography, which serves as inspiration, reference, or the first layer in a digital painting. But my photos are of ordinary scenes. By adding abstract colors and textures, I hope to give expression to an unseen richness of spirit beneath what might otherwise be seen as mundane.
Color is central to my practice. I’m drawn to rich, saturated hues. My compositions emerge through a blend of acrylic paint, collage materials, photography and digital manipulation, melding the real with the imaginary.
While embracing both traditional and digital techniques, I remain committed to maintaining an organic quality in my final pieces. Technology serves my vision, not the reverse.
My art combines recognizable natural elements with abstract color and space. In the balance between representation and imagination, I hope to create moments of wonder and renewed appreciation for the world around us.
