Painting with watercolor allows me to capture a ‘moment in time’. It gives me an opportunity to also capture my own emotional response to that moment.

I love painting flowers, birds, and landscapes. I also enjoy the challenge of painting other subjects that I’ve never painted before.

I carry my camera with me during my travels and adventures. I then use my photos as references for my watercolor paintings. I lived in Europe for 4 years and travelled a lot while living there. I’ve also visited lots of other places around the world; and have been to quite a few states in our country. So, I have a lot of photos!

If I don’t have a plan or an idea of what to paint next, I just look through my photos and one of them always jumps out saying, “Paint me next!!”
