Greta D'Amico

My artistic journey is a dialogue between structure and spontaneity, control and surrender. I began with representational art, delighting in illustrative images before studying classical oil painting techniques to build a strong foundation in light, form, and composition. To balance the exactitude of realism, I expanded into a more intuitive, expressive approach.

I work in acrylic, oil, and mixed media, drawn to the tactile richness of layered surfaces. In my abstract work—often evoking landscapes and natural settings—I build and obscure, scrape back and reapply, seeking a balance between deliberate composition and spontaneous play. My goal is to create pieces that invite viewers into a space of quiet resonance, where texture, color, and movement spark emotion, inspiration, and contemplation.

I am continually exploring the interplay of materials and meaning, challenging myself to remain open to the “flow state” where creativity thrives. Each piece is a conversation, an exploration of presence, and an offering of connection.
