Candi Martin Baker

Candi Martin Baker is a lifelong California artist who specializes in Landscapes celebrating the west coast. Hailing from Carmel California, now living in Auburn California, she is the daughter of Royden Martin, a listed Carmel artist. Although she did not have to opportunity to paint with him, she was inspired by his work.

“For the Love of Light”; is the reason Candi Martin Baker attempts to convey the effects of light, water and air movement on the trees and and plants found in the natural world. Her current style was achieved by over 20 years of experimenting with oil, watercolor and acrylic mediums and attending workshops by artists she admired. Martin Baker hopes the observer will feel a sense of peace, and awe in the world around us.
