Allison Armstrong
Drawn to numbers and order from an early age, Allison never imagined she would one day call herself an artist. It wasn’t until navigating a challenging period in her life that she was encouraged to explore oil painting, an experience that revealed an unexpected harmony between her analytical nature and creative spirit.
The structural challenges of perspective, shape, and value speak to her mathematical mind, while the exploration of color and light fills her with joy. Working in a representational style, Allison finds inspiration in subjects that hold personal meaning: cherished items from her home, the changing beauty of her garden, memorable travels, and especially flowers, which have become a favorite theme.
Allison has studied with renowned artists including Elizabeth Robbins and Kathy Anderson at the Scottsdale School of Art, as well as Shanna Kunz, Daniel Keys, and Derek Penix. She remains committed to growing and refining her craft through ongoing study and practice.
In honor of the encouragement and support of her family, she signs her work with her lifelong nickname Ali.
