Work of Art Studios

Through the transformative power of art, Work Of Art’s talented instructors assist both our participating artists and the public to create wonderful artwork. We foster a culture of inclusivity and celebrate diversity by cultivating a community where every artists voice is heard and their talents are honed and cherished. We provide art instruction and studio space to adults with developmental disabilities and the public as well. We offer instruction in both two-dimensional studies (Painting, Drawing and Printmaking) as well as three-dimensional disciplines such as (Ceramics and Jewelry making).

Work of Art is a subsidiary of Southside Unlimited, a 501c3 non-profit that creates opportunities for artistic expression, personal progress, and active citizenship for adults with developmental disabilities. Instructors cater instruction level to the skill level and artistic vision of their students. They draw on their rigorous academic training to demystify the art-making process and break down complex techniques into easily manageable steps. We believe in every person’s ability to express themselves artistically, and encourage and nurture the creative journey of every artist we have the privilege to work with.
