David Corey

David Corey is a visual artist living and working in Loomis, California raising two kids with his wife Alicia. As a pilot, his career has frequently kept him away from home, causing him to miss out on significant moments. Over the years he has come to understand that memory is complex, not exact, and often blends our environment with the people in it. He reflects this through his photography. Whether through layered in-camera double exposure on film, or capturing his subject through nuanced reflections of light, his work evokes familiar feelings of longing, love, and loneliness.

He has recently completed an MFA in Photography and exhibits his art locally at High Hand Gallery and Casque Tasting Room. He will also be teaching Master of Arts candidates at The Academy of Art in San Francisco in fall of 2024.
