About

I am a professional oil painter, mentor and world traveller. My inspiration is the beauty I see in this world. I began my career after a dozen years as an award-winning Graphic Designer in TV and motion pictures, but my dream was always to become a fine artist. With my heroes being Sargent, Sorolla, and Zorn I started taking classes at  the California Art Institute as well as taking many workshops.

I also began learning painting en plein air. I started to understand that all I was painting was light. How it fell on a person or landscape. Capturing light is more than physical, I also look for the inner human glow bringing feeling, emotions and spirit to my work. Using a vibrant color palette and impressionist style I hope to continue making and sharing my adventures in art.
