The Paint Maker

My studio is a magical place filled with light, color, mineral and plant pigments and walls of vibrant paintings. Making my own paint has been my passion for over 40 years.

The tools of the paint maker, evidence of the process and samples of completed paints are present on the work benches. Inspirational ideas activate the colors into living expression as paintings, jewelry and drawings. The color blue has been my exploration for over 50 years. If you visit Peaceful Valley Studios you will experience a compound of blue studios filled with blue arts.

For this 30th anniversary of studio tours I have created a signature series of small Lapis blue paintings on handmade paper using handmade Lapis watercolor mineral pigments.
