Beth Olagues

Join me in the garden. My work is inspired by nature and often references plants, animals, insects, and water. My recent paintings are predominantly floral, and juxtapose moods that are cheery and bright with those that are moody and dark. My style is relaxed and expressive with loose brush strokes and watery flows. I primarily work with oil paints, but occasionally use other media such as oil pastels or acrylic markers. I want to capture still moments: a bouquet in its prime or garden in late summer glory.
