About

Claire’s creative journey has been shaped by a lifelong immersion in the world of art and color. Although predominantly self-taught, her early exposure to the world of art was a result of her father, Peter Scott, an accomplished Australian artist and teacher, who instilled in her a deep appreciation for the play of color and light.

Claire’s upbringing was filled with visits to galleries, exhibitions, and interactions with various artists, where she honed her ability to observe and appreciate the intricate details within artworks. Her father’s guidance fostered a keen eye for design and balance, as she actively participated in discussions of the pieces they would come across.

Life led her from Australia to the United States, where she lives with her husband and their twins. As an abstract artist, Claire’s true passion lies in fluid art, where she lovingly manipulates resin and acrylic mediums to create dynamic movement on canvas.

The majority of Claire’s work is a celebration of the ocean, a force that has always held a special place in her heart. The endless ebb and flow of the waves, the multitude of blues, the shimmering reflections, and the frothy whiteness of water meeting sand are elements that capture her heart and soul. Claire’s art is a means to share this beauty and the emotions it stirs.

Although she explored different color palettes, the allure of blues consistently drew her back. These colors evoke cherished memories of her upbringing on the beaches of Western Australia, and she wholeheartedly embraces them. Her creations span from canvas art to functional pieces like charcuterie boards and serving trays, all echoing the beauty of coastal memories.
