Detailed Information

My life has centered around art from an early age. I started drawing when I was eleven or twelve and decided that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I spent four years at Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and majored in film arts as an animation student. I worked for The Walt Disney Studios on ‘The Jungle Book’ and ‘Winnie The Pooh and the Blustery Day’, cutting my teeth as an in-betweener. I loved the work so much that I spent the next forty two years as an Animator and Director working on many Saturday morning cartoon shows and a few theatricals and commercials as well.

I discovered my love for painting in 1998 on a trip to Maui where I met a local artist under the Banyon tree in Lahaina. He gave me the push I needed to start exploring a new way of seeing the world in color. Since then I have worked in oil, watercolor and acrylic and have taken many classes and workshops to enhance my skills.
