Robin Martinez Rice

As an artist I love thinking about the generations of women in my family stitching, knitting, sewing and painting. My current focus on up-cycled objects, primarily furniture, has taught me to value what I have. I try hard not to buy new things when there is likely to be something in my “stash” that will work. Each piece of furniture carries its past within and reveals a story that can teach us to live in a way that protects our earth. My designs are inspired by the things I love: the Southwest, Origami, Bugs and Mandalas.
