About

I’m a mixed media artist who sees the world through a photographer’s eye, capturing glimpses of the natural world and weaving them together with memory and emotion. My work is all about layering: I combine photo transfers with maps, handwritten text, and textures from the real world – like pressed leaves and flowers – incorporating acrylics, colored pencils, and wax pastels to create immersive pieces that bring the feeling of being outdoors into interior spaces.

As a kid, I was obsessed with building dioramas, and that sense of wonder has never left me. Over the years, my creative path has been shaped by artists like Georgia O’Keeffe, natural history illustrators, and the poetic assemblages of Joseph Cornell. But nature has always been my greatest inspiration. I discovered photography in college, and it quickly became the foundation of my practice, now focused on tactile, physical layering and visual storytelling.

I teach photography at Sierra College and show my work in galleries across the U.S. My pieces are part of both public and private collections worldwide.
