Janet Paehlig

In my retirement years I wanted to be involved in a creative endeavor. My first love was jewelry, but I’ve diversified into wall hangings and fabric weavings. My fascination with stones, nature, and art quilts are my inspiration for creativity. I’ve learned a lot, met wonderful people, and have had fun designing.

I am a member of both the Foothill Quilters Guild and the Pioneer Quilters Guild. I am a vendor at numerous quilt shows, mostly in California, where I offer embellishments; beads, specialty pieces, and fibers to art quilters and to those who make wearable art. With my love of art quilts I decided to start making my own art wall hangings. Seventeen years of living in the foothills has given me a chance to participate in local art shows – Placer Arts Studios Tour, Loomis Loop, and Newcastle Tour.
