About

It’s been a pleasant journey. My mom was quite artistic; she dabbled in a slew of creative pursuits. I was given full access to a former rumpus room in the basement of our San Francisco home which she converted into a ceramic studio. It was here many inspirations advanced to a completed work. I tried my hand at clay fabrication, oil painting, wood carving and poster design. It was a nice place to work. To keep myself entertained I’d crank up the old victrola and listen to John Phillips Sauza marches. In high school it was helping with murals, posters, and stage design.
In adulthood there has been many art classes, workshops, and painting trips with the desire to hone my skills. Each painting a new adventure with that elusive masterpiece. I came to realize that’s not the way it works, one needs to put in their time. The climb at times can be steep but the reward worth the effort.
