Ardith Gray

I have made my living as an artist for many years. I teach at William Jessup University and design costumes for two Main Stage productions per year. I have designed over 50 shows in professional career. My theater projects have provided a exciting way to practice my textile experiments. I have a Masters of Fine Art -MFA from San Diego State in Costume Design/Drama.
Good design, composition and colors are the foundation of all my artistic endeavors. My textile/leather endeavors first begin with ideas. The method of demonstrating these ideas can be through silk painting, botanical printing, indigo shibori, or leather crafting. The process is exciting and fulfilling.
